In the Windows Taskbar, click on the Network icon
and then click Open Network and Sharing Center.
Click Set up a new connection or network.
Choose Connect to a workplace.
Choose Use my Internet connection (VPN).
In the Internet address
field type the name or the
IP address of a Secure-VPN server.
Click to view the list of servers.
In the Destination name
field you can type anything you want,
we recommend that you call the service Secure-VPN. Make sure that the checkbox labelled
Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later
Then click the Next
In the User name field type your Secure-VPN username.
In the Password field type your Secure-VPN password.
Optionally, check the Remember this password checkbox
and you won't have to enter your password when you connect to Secure-VPN.com.
Then, click the Create button.
In the next screen, click the Close button.
Then, in the Windows Taskbar, click on the Network icon again.
Click on Secure-VPN, then click on the Connect button.
Type in your Secure-VPN Username and Password in
their respective fields. Then, click on the Properties button.
In the Security tab, under the Type of VPN
dropdown list select Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP).
Under the Data encryption
dropdown list select Optional encryption (connect even if no encryption).
Select Allow these protocols and tick as shown in the following picture.
Then, click on the Advanced settings button.
In the IPsec Settings dialog, click the radio button labelled
Use preshared key for authentication.
Then type Secure-VPN into the textbox labelled Key.
Click the OK button. Click the OK button again.
The connection is now ready to use. Click Connect.
